DEVELOP South Africa conference equips dealers for changing market demands

JOHANNESBURG – March 28, 2014 –Emperor’s Palace in Johannesburg recently hosted DEVELOP South Africa’s inaugural dealer conference, which saw 34 attendees coming from across the country to find out what DEVELOP and the market have in store for them. The conference saw delegates look back over the year that had passed, sharing developments and key market figures, as well as focusing on growing global trends and the new business opportunities arising from them.

Marc Pillay, DEVELOP South Africa managing director and industry stalwart gave the welcoming address along with a trends overview. Subsequent sessions gave the delegates an outlook on future products and services, business solutions, as well as the opportunities in wide format printing, finance and scanning strategies; with speakers coming from Sasfin, Océ South Africa, Firstcoast, as well as DEVELOP.

“We have had a great year with our dealers, and wanted to keep them abreast of new focus areas for DEVELOP and highlight changing trends in the marketplace,” says Pillay.  “When the market makes demands, opportunities arise, and we wanted to be sure that our expanding dealer network is fully supported with the tools needed to succeed. Preparation is key.  Abraham Lincoln famously said: ‘Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe,’ that is the mentality we wanted our dealers to take away with them.”
